About Chel

Rabbi Chel is also the founder and creative director of the Tzimtzum community.

The Tzimzum community are queer, trans, and gender-expansive Jews. They hold queer-only affinity space by centering the Jewish diasporic experience; refocusing on Jewish tradition, ritual, and community gathering in Santa Cruz, California. Other times they welcome our allies to join them for Shabbats, holidays, rituals, learning, and gatherings. They celebrate Judaism by centering the margins of the mainstream Jewish community. They welcome anti-zionist, non-zionist, questioning, challenged, and curious Jews.
